Waters Alliance 2690 not starting

Dear All,

I have some issues with a Waters Alliance 2690. It started properly some weeks ago, but today I wanted to work with it and it wont.
The problem is that it beginns to boot, the screen is beeing tested, it makes two or three peeping noises, and then shuts down.

Does anyone know what it could be? More software or hardware related?

Hi,

When the system makes the beeps does it go back into the int screen and start over again? If so you'd need to check the CPU and voltages at the PSU. Usually the CPU is at fault if the PSU readings are okay. Otherwise it is the PSU.
Pop off the side cover and remake the connections on the CPU with the Power off of course. Also make sure the 3 Vdc battery is reading okay.
