WHAT IS BETTER FOR THE INSTRUMENT(Agilent 6420)

In the lab where I work we have to give results approx two hours after coming of sample, for this reason we don't switch off the mass spectrometer.
I set it to stand by. But in one shifts (12 hours) I change from ON to STAND BY several times. My question is: what is it better for instrument to be alway ON or change it to STAND BY

Wont be enough to pull down EMV to 0 and switch LC to waste ?
If i switch on qqq i usually dont change to stanby mode even for longer
break between analyzes.
