Resevoir Container

What is the suitable reservoir other than glass container? What kind of material should be avoided as the reservoir container? Could we use plastics?
Our QC Lab use plastic container, I disagree. I should get any literature or prove before talk to the manager or he won't be believe to my arguments.

You can use that discussion on polymer residues, recently, and/or take a look at the containers used by suppliers of HPLC solvents.
Of course, if you use it for something else.... Some time ago our water supply malfunctioned, I went to a physicists lab to get some. He grapped his head in disbelief when he saw my glass bottle.... he only used his H2O for atomic absorption spectrometry and got some metal ions out of class containers. Organic residues didn´t bother him, they burn.

At Dionex, we have plastic bottles for the ion chromatography systems because they have very low ionic background. We use borosilicate glass bottles for our HPLC systems. I have had occaision to use the plastic bottles for HPLC; they work well for storing DI water and aqueous buffers.
