Hi

This is regarding Estimation of Ethylacetoacetate by GC , i have tried almost all types gc columns like polar,no-polar and FAME columns but observed fronting in the peak of Ethylacetoacetate , please suggest any suitable COLUMN for the estimation.

Thanks
Anand
besides the 50% phenyl silicone I previously mentioned, the OV-1701 is another phase that might be useful.

But don't expect a symmetrical peak by GC.

Complain about the world all you want, but will that ever get you DRY water? just because you desire it?

Sometimes, things just ARE.

best wishes,

Rod
Hello anandaraohs,

Take a look in this article :

http://web.mit.edu/rsi/www/pdfs/papers/ ... lbertc.pdf

unfortunately ethylacetoacetate is not so easy to manipulate in gas chromatography.

Like rod says, sometimes things just are.

Good luck! hope the article gives you some help.
T.B.
Thanks rod
