Quantifying an "air" PEAK by FID

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

if im quantifying a peak and the peak contains both nitrogen and O2 .i.e O2 and N2 have same retention time what is the best standard to use. Should I buy a standard with both O2 and N2 at equal amounts and use this to quantify the "air" peak or buy just nitrogen. The response of N2 and O2 should be a little different so it is not correct to quantify the "air " peak with one component??
You cannot detect air with an FID.
