Hi, am trying to analyze the above compound by GC. It has been described in some patents/papers but no conditions given. Any ideas. Thanks

Care must be taken to avoid having the bromine react with solvent or column-injector surfaces.

I would inject 0.1 microliter on column onto a megabore retention gap followed by a 0.32m 624 thick film capaillary column initially, (to check for light components) then dilute the chemical in pentane and reduce the sample size until a good chromatogram is achieved.

Initial oven temperature 40C programmed at 4C/min to 200C and hold to check for late heavy components.

Flow should be about 2-3 mL per min.

FID

Good luck,

Rod
