Hey we are trying to update our TRH method in as aspects such as new instruments, methods etc just wondering does anybody have any pointers?. We currently using using GCFID 7890 and 6890. Obviously the 6890 we are looking to up grade or replace. We would upgrade by updating the oven, maybe add cryokit or oven insert. We could also expand the carousel to from 100 to 150. I believe that is the insturment covered....unless you guys suggest further improvements!. We are already using hydrogen as a carrier gas. The column we could change or tweak and the method ramp and so fourth we could change....any thing else?
Depending on what you are trying to report, GCxGC-FID gives nice class separations of hydrocarbons...
If you could provide a few method details and a chromatogram it would help, also what are the priorities? From the other thread I think cycle time is a big one.
Where can I buy the kit they use in CSI?
