Hi,
Does anyone know if peak areas in Empower can be increased by changing the units? Currently our units are uV per sec.
Thanks
If you are using a Waters detector (or if you are using an eSATIN), check your sampling frequency. If it is set to 1Hz, try 2 or 5.

Also, if you are using an eSATIN, check the output of the detector. Is it at 1 or 2 AUFS? You might try setting it to a lower value (but make sure you don't end up with your larger peaks having flat tops).

Aside from these things, your options are pretty limited to altering your chromatographic conditions - seeing if you can use a lower wavelength, trying a narrower bore column... stuff like that.
Thanks,
DR
