N2 generators

I believe that the oxygen content of the desolvation gas in single quad MS is not very critical, but was told that oxygen in the collision gas (in my case Argon) should be very low. I am sharing 2 Domnick Hunter N2 generators between 2 single quads and a triple (Micromass Quattro Micro) and seem to see a drop in response on the triple when the single quads are on. The capacity of the generators is more than adequate to supply the 3 machines (the flow readbacks don't show any change when an extra MS is switched on), but I know that the generator design is such that the oxygen concentration goes up as the flow rate increases - could this be the reason for the drop in response?

Thanks
