Hello,

Our lab recently purchased a waters PAD detector, attached to an agilent. Anyone get this set up to work correctly? We have signal, but can not reproduce standards for sugar alcohols. I am thinking maybe it is the ED settings. Let me know if anyone has any experience with this.

Thanks!

Before you start talking about settings on the PAD, the LC system must be spotlessly clean and passivated to start. After that, then all the glassware, solvents, columns and need to be clean.

After that your noise should be lower and then you can start talking about settings.

It was a brand new system so it was clean. Turned out it was the pump making everything elute late. It was only delivering 1/3 of the volume it should have with the column in line.
