Hello! I've been trying to install a SPD-M10avp PDA on Windows xp. Whenever I try to install the driver manually i get a blue screen. However after rebooting the computer there is an unknown device listed in the hardwaremanager in the subdirectory of shimadzu devices. Still the detector does not communicate with either Chromeleon or Class VP. Does anyone have an idea how to install that detector driver correctly on Windows XP?

Best Regards

Anton
Isn't it licence issue ?
Hi nitrendipin,

dblux is probably correct. Do you have all the neccessary instrument and user licenses to access Chromeleon and also control your instrument?

The first thing to check is do you have a license dongle for Chromeleon? (Green USB).

Thanks

Thanks for the replies. We have a timbase class three license provided by a license server in our unit. When configuring the instrument setup in the chromeleon server configuration I can install the DAD without getting any error messages. The question is if the device is recognised by windows at all. The hardware manager lists an unknown device under shimadzu instruments. Could it be a driver problem?
