HI,

i need help how to import data from excel back to Agilent HPLC-DAD file?

can anyone please help me ?!

thank you very much
Chemstation, I assume? Unless there's something commercial out there, I'm not aware of any software that can create a *.UV file from scratch (or a Masshunter DAD*.sp/sd file either, for that matter). That doesn't mean it isn't theoretically possible (the file formats are not terribly complicated), but I would be very interested to see such software if it does exist. Sorry.
Yes Chemstation. I ve looked at every promising software but nothing that really works. Hopefully someone from this forum has an answer.
You can't, because excel files do not have any data.
To elaborate, even if you had an Excel file full of the spectral data you needed, you would still need extra data (method name, sample name, run date, etc) because the *.UV files have several extra fields in them that Chemstation reads. And that's not counting all the extra *.REG files in the directory that keep track of other things related to the run and may or may not have checksums to detect tampering with the files in the directory (changing files after they're collected would not make for a happy GMP audit).

I'm not terribly clear on why you would want to get your data back into Chemstation though? If you need to plot it, you can do that easily in Excel and if you need to do something more complicated with it, either OpenChrom or Aston (disclaimer: it doesn't have as many features as OpenChrom, but I wrote it) can open specially formatted CSV files and manipulate them like you would a regular chromatogram (integrate peaks, etc).
Also the problem is when I export .cdf file and than I cant open it with any other software. And OpenChrom doesnt support DAD (HPLC) data file.
