I'm trying to maximize the throughput of my Agilent's GC-MS instrument: I mainly perform analysis with the EPA 8270 method with about 100 peaks for every chromatogram and 4 QC samples every 20 runs.
Until now the QC have been loaded on the analytical sequence as "sample" in samples table of the online Chemstation, and then quantitated and manually QEdited in the offline Chemstation. Finally they have been reported as normal samples and loaded on a very slow LIMS.
With this routine procedure I have to wait the LIMS calculations before state "Ok I passed the QC" and it usually takes more than 1 hour!
I think that loading the QC sample as "QC" in the samples table of the online, and add the proper analytes concentrations in the QC level of the quantitation database, will let me check immediately if I passed the QC or not. Is it true?
My problem is that I have 4 different QCs and I don't know how I've to setup my Chemstation in order to recognize the right QC in the quantitation database. Can you help me?
Thank you,
AB
