I currently use Clarity software to collect and porcess results from our HP6890 GC. With the latest Clarity update I've noticed that on the setup side you install 6890 GC to be controlled from the Clarity software which would be a big advantage when doing method development for keeping track of what changes are made. However, despite the RS232 connection all being OK and the GC being on and working OK it keeps saying GC not connected. Any ideas?
I do not know Clarity, but I occasionally get the 'cannot bring up GC' error even with Agilent's native control software - toggling the power on everything usually clears this up.
