(prices are approximate)
Waters
-Q-Tof ($40k)
-Q-Tof2 ($60k)
-Q-tof premiere ($75k)
Agilent
-6510 ($110k)
-6520 ($140k)
-6530 ($170k)
I am sure I have missed some, so if there is a glaring omission that you would recommend please let me know
The price for these units spanning nearly 10 years obviously varies quite a bit, but as I am setting up a lab with limited finances I would probably forgo spending more for a newer instrument if an older one has a great track record for stability and only minimal loss of sensitivity and mass accuracy. Thanks for your help!
