Removing Agilent 1100 Plastic Windows from Covers

Hello --

I was wondering if anyone has had any success removing the plastic windows from the 1100 series covers? I am wanting to clean the windows, but the "contamination" doesn't appear to be on the surface. After cleaning both the front and back sides, it appears the contamination is "within" the plastic. Can the windows be popped out? I tried, but they didn't seem to budge. Any insight on how to remove them would be appreciated. Does anyone know if Agilent sells just the windows for replacement?

Thanks for any info!

hello,

You can remove platic windows from cover.
You need to use a flat screwdriver and insert it between the front and the rear cover and use it like a crowbar.
You need to do it at different place. It makes a big noise.
After that, you can repair your window.
You sand your windows with sandpaper size 400 for beginning and 1200 for finish.
After that, you wash your windows and paint it with a spray clear varnish .
Your windows will be like new after this process.

I hope my answer help you.

Befor you go popping them out, try buffing the window with some automotive headlight restorer.
