Hi,

i am working in an environmental lab. and we have a GC-FID. we are analysing VOC in stack fumes by Charcoal tubes according to BS EN 13649.

Now, we are searching GC-MS to improve our results, speed etc. Could you offer me which GC-MS is better for our analysis?
I prefer Agilent. Any modern MS (later 5973's 5975's) should have SIM/SCan which would allow you to quantiate with high sensitivity the compounds you normally see in SIM mode by picking distinct ions while at the same time have a Total ion chromatogram to search for unidentified peaks in the library.
