What PM and Qualification service to use?

Discussions about HPLC, CE, TLC, SFC, and other "liquid phase" separation techniques.

Hello,
our Alliance HPLC system was installed the end of last year, so it is time to do Preventive Maintenance and OQ/PQ to make it fully compliant.

I am looking for quotations from several service vendors.
They gave different terms regarding OQ/PQ/Calibration and nobody knows exactly what tests are designed for these glorius terms.

And they are expensive.

What service do you use in your lab.
Thanks in advance.
Maybe that's exactly what the task is - to understand and assess the tests being carried out in relation to your lab’s needs / requirements. I assume you have an instruction for that, since you are planning OQ and PQ following the PM.

Best Regards

i just need recommendations from other ppl. what vendors they use for their PM/calibration/qualification.
When I was with a GMP lab we would have the instrument manufacturer perform the first IQ/OQ (sometimes the first PM), and then we would use their documentation as a template to develop an in-house procedure. The manufacturer should know the expected performance of the instrument. Of course it's up to you to decide if the criteria are suitable to for your system. You may need to perform additional tests based on how the instrument is used.

Either the instrument vendor or DIY. I view thiird parties with some suspiscion. Waters offers training on both PM and qualification of Alliance systems. I've taken both courses and, honestly, it's not that tough to do.

I looked at this option, too.
They have onsite PM courses (I mean in Milford)
but for qualifications, I found a course in their catalog, and it needs to be conducted in the company's lab. I contacted waters, no one even knows about how to buy that course.

can you point to me what courses you've taken for PM and qualification?
thanks
I took this course at Milford and it was quite comprehensive:

It appears that there are no more dates for this in 2012 and the 2013 schedule has yet to be published. I would guess that they'll offer it again at least once in 2013.

PM courses are very good with hands-on instruction. I took both the 2695 and components course (which I would guess is no longer offered) and subsequently refurbed a few systems of both types that run really well now.

Good skills to have as a chromatographer, IMHO.

It is a pity they don't offer qualification course reguarly. and this is why I did not find this course online.
For PM and qualification, it is not that I don't know how to do it without training, it is the matter of personnel qualification.
Once you get trained from Waters, you receive certificates and you can renew this every year through online course.
