Hi everyone, I'm working in thiols derivatizaion with PFBBr, then to remove the excess of reagent I make react it with an excess of mercaptoglycerol. So how can I ensure the reacction and the elimination of PFBBr is complete.

Thanks :)

Sandra
Sandra,

Since no one else will take a crack.... Have you contacted Supelco (Aldrich) about this? They would be a good resource for this application.

There is another company that sells these reagents and I am trying to find the contact info but not yet, sorry.

I would think this process would make these compounds very sensitive by ECD....

Best regards,

AICMM
