Recoveries by equations as discussed in post: y=mx+b

I am only aware of doing recoveries with Control and spiked sample.
Can somebody suggest any reference or explain how to do recoveries with the help of equations.

My proposition:
1. You prepare standard calibration curve with equation y1=m1x+b1.
2. You prepare matrix calibration curve (from fortified sample) with equation y2=m2x+b2
3. Recovery calculation is R(%)=100% m2/m1
