Hi,

Can anybody suggest column/solvent conditions for analyzing simply substituted oxetanes
by GC-MS

Thanks
Niki
Just only my idea, not true story.

If this oxetane is paclitaxel (MW. = 854), which an active hydrogen molecules on the structure.
Try to derivatise with MSTFA or BSTFA for get volatilable property for GC/MS analysis.

Column : Non polar capillary column (Phase #-1 or #-5), try to use short 10-15 mater.
Oven temperature : Start at 150 degree-C or higher to maximum temperature around 330 degree-C, hold at least 5 min. for survey scan.

Because this compound easily fragements to small mass units lower than 400 amu. (see NIST library), then, you can use normal tune (atune) in this experiments.
