Hello,

I try startup GCD1800A with installed Smart Card II on G1701BA software (on WinXP) and catch couple error:

1) "activatesicl error". From here - http://www.cssco.com/index2.php?option= ... f=1&id=158 I found that it's preffered problem of initialisation of hardware and most frequently it is the MSD. So first question is how the dip switches in the smartcard must be set in order to get a HPIB address = 21 - seems default MSD address of GCD. Second - installed card - Smart Card II+ (see pls picture: http://csa-service.com/store/media/cata ... _31_21.jpg ) and as in picture my slot for memory stick empty as well. So, I can suppose that it may be reason of error as well? So, seems it should be SIM memory stick but which volume preffered?

2) "Cant load 589000.dll". It's, no doubts, MSD software problem of G1701BA (may be on Windows XP only?) because with regular GC software B.04.01 I can communicate with GC part of GCD without problem. This error make me crazy. I put this file in all folders of installation folder and system, system32 as well but nothing helps. After that I changed this .dll with file of new revision from new installation (32 bit) - without success...

please, does anybody know something about this problem?

Thank you from Ukraine

I believe 1701BA only works with Windows NT4.
That is correct. BA only runs under Win98SE and Win2000 (NT). You can process data all day long under XP, but you cannot acquire data.
