Normal Phase Columns

Any normal phase LC folks out there. I am curious to ask where people are getting their normal phase columns, and what types of columns people commonly use.

I always used to use the Diol column. I thought it was one of the more retentive phases for normal phase work, and was also good becuase its retention is not much effected by water (like silica is). But lately I've noticed that it is very hard to find diol columns. some of the biggest vendors like phenomenex and Waters don't seem to carry them.

A lot of folks sell amino and cyano columns for normal phase work, but I always thought those were not as good. I thought the amino columns were quite unstable and the cyano columns didn't retain very strongly.

So I am curious to know: which vendors and which columns people are using for normal phase separations.

Much Thanks

Phenomenex sells a crosslinked diol column under the name of Luna HILIC. It is more stable than traditional diol phases and has been found to have great utility in SFC as well.
