What type of liner does everybody recommend for PCB analysis. I am currently using a single taper inlet liner with glass wool. Sensitivity is not an issue and I would like to keep using the wool as our samples tend to be a little dirty.
I would use liner with wool for PCBs. They are very rugged compounds and resist degradation as other semi-volatile compounds tend with glass wool. Especially with dirty compounds. However, check your recoveries of PCB 209 frequently with standards as I saw this had a tendency to increase (i.e., > 100% recovery) after a series of injections/samples. Replace the liners often. It is probably not necessary to buy expensive deactivated liners. Right now I use non-deactivated liners for PCBs and they perform just fine. You will also save some money as you will need to replace them often when running dirty samples.
