strange sound coming out from GC

Hello, i have GCMS trace finnigan DSQ II. This morning i've notice a strange sound coming out from back of GC. The noise is a pulsating whistle, (annoying by the way..). It is not a constant one, appears once in 2min, takes about 5-10sec and then is gone, and then again..and again. What that can be?

Probably a moving part of the oven temp. control system that could use a little lubrication.

If this is the case, the noise would cease shortly after you shut the oven off.
