Hello everybody,
I have an Agilent 1200 ELSD detector that has been previously connected to a preparative HPLC 1200. now I would like to transfer de detector to an analytical HPLC 1200 but the chemstation does not recognize the new module. Can somebody help me please? I have already change the configuration of the chemstation "off line" successfully but when I launch the chemstation "on line", the elsd module does not appear on the list of the instruments. What I need to do or what I'm doing wrong?
Thank you!
I'm assuming that you have the LAN cable or remote cable hooked up from the ELSD to the existing HPLC stack/module.

So next question is: is the firmware of the ELSD module compatible with the rest of the stack? Mismatches can cause such issues.

I also assume that you powered all modules and the computer off, and re-started all.
If my memory serves me right, you have to install drivers for ELSD, also the normal RS-232 cable is not working, it has to be from agilent (I think that some pins are switched).
