How to remove NH3 in gas mix.

I have to analyze gases like: H2, N2, CO2.. but in the mix, there's still about 10% NH3. I am afraid that NH3 may destroy the column. How can I trap the NH3 before pumping it to the GC sampling valve.
Thanks for any input

Exactley which column are you using that you feel might be damaged by the NH3? The only answer might be to use a column that can handle the NH3, and this column allows the H2, N2 and CO2 to pass through first, and then backflush the NH3 to vent. Do you have other compounds also present that have to be measured?

Have you tried passing it through a sorbent such as benzenesulfonic acid to trap the ammonia?

We use molecular sieve and hayesep columns.
Thanks Don, I will try that sorbent and hope it will not adsorb other gases

Some moisture might help with the bonding, so use upstream from the molecular sieve.
