how to prevent from reporting multiple results in Empower 2?

Hellllo,

So, Empower 2 is going pretty well so far. I got a bit stuck...should be an easy one, but who knows!

After processing a sample set and getting a Result set, I manually integrated a result and saved it. So the newly saved result is ADDED to the Result Set (I now have 2 results for that one channel). Now, I brought this Result Set into a Report Method and that duplicate result is showing up in the Report. I know there is a Table Properties feature (check box) for the Peak Table "Include Duplicate Results". When unchecked, yes, the most recent result (the one I manually integrated and saved) is the only one displayed in the Table...exactly what I want. But, there is no feature like this for the chromatogram (which shows chromatograms for both results) or my sample header (which is showing two Result ID's). So how the heck am I to have everything in my report just report the most recent results?? Is there some global property I am missing?

thanks!!

Not sure if this is possible, but I think you should be able to filter only the most recent results of a chrom by using a view filter in browse project.
I haven't the time to figure this out now, but it has something to do with number of results and the max function.

Not exactly sure about your case, but I've seen instances of duplicate chromatograms showing up when a sample set had "Normal" instead of "Don't process or report" under Processing for samples that were quantitated at the end of the set. Usually, you want "Normal" for standards only, if you are averaging them all and then calculating your sample results.

I'm pretty sure that if you right click the result set, and click process and check 'use existing integration', you'll get a result set with the latest results. This new result set should not contain the old result.

Hello, we had the same issue due to using bracketing standards. We worked around this by setting the chromatogram properties to overlay in a single plot and annotating only one chromatogram in the overlay. Technically the duplicate chromatograms are shown, but appear as one since they are identical. As stated before not including duplicates in the table properties takes care of the issue in the tables.
Hope this helps.
