Quottro micro LCMSMS doubt

I am working on Waters Quottro micro LCMSMS.At first we have down the instrument weekly so that it will get some rest all other days it is in stand by but due to some power problems we have now switch it off daily.Whether it cause some problem on instrument .

Good luck. We had a Quattro Micro in our R&D dept for a while and it was a complete pain. It was literally broken more than it was usable. However to answer your question more directly it is always better on an LC to leave them up and running all the time, even if it is in standby. Keep the solvents flowing to prevent the growth of micro organisms in your lines, valves etc. You'll have much fewer problems in the long run.

You mean - switching on every morning and off every evening, with pumping and venting? I don't think it is a good condition for turbopump.
If just switching off for a continuous period, flush the LC with acn/w and shutdown.

Thanks Hawes.I am switching on/off by pumbing and venting evey day whether it effect the life of Turbo pump.

Yes, it will definitely affect the life of the turbo pump. It's a really bad idea. You should only vent when absolutely necessary, or potentially if you're not considering using an instrument for a very extended period. What are the power problems you're having?
