Agilent 7000A QQQ Source Upgrade

Hi,
We are currently using an Agilent 7000A MS/MS in our lab for the analysis of PCBs, PBDEs, Pesticides and neuroactive steroids in plasma and brain tissue samples. The instrument works great, and although the sensitivity we get is pretty decent, we were hoping to try and lower our detection limits because of the limited sample volumes we work with.
I wanted to ask if anyone here has experience using the 7000A with the High Sensitivity Extractor EI source (available as an upgrade from Agilent). I was just hoping for some info on whether it resulted in appreciable reductions in detection limit and is worth the cost. We are currently operating with the standard EI inert source.
Thanks

I have the same system and once asked Agilent rep about difference between 7000A & 7000B and ability to upgrade, he said the detector is more sensitive not the source as you mentioned.

Can you PM me with your lab address?
