hi,i really need help
all i know is how to run the sample and get results.we are testing butan (propan,i-butan,n-butan,i-pentan,n-pentan).we use agilent 6890,chemstation gc,injection manuelly with sample cylinder.
what i have to know is INTEGRATION and CALIBRATION. we have standard sample.
do i always have to do integration before calibration?
how many standard samples do i have to run?
How do i get average?

YES

It depends on the regulations under which you are working. One is a minimum. Six would be too many????

Add the results from the runs for each peak and divide by the number of runs.

Integration is measuring each peak for area. Calculating the area of each component at a certain concentration gives you a calibrated response for that concentration.

Comparing areas of an unknown concentration sample with the standard sample allows you to calculate the concentration of the unknown sample.
