read PE Nelson 970

Is there a terminal command set known to read data from a Perkin Elmer Nelson Interface Box 970 using the serial port ?

Hi,
You can obtain a manual from PE (at least 15 years ago). However, it is not so well written so you must spend a lot of time monitoring a working set up and the copy it. I gave up and I don't have the manual any more. Hope it helps.
