Best Mass Spec for large MW cmpds???

Leaning towards Agilent's 6530 QTOF (<20K range). Not too familar with MALDI but that might be an option too. Target compounds would include proanthocyanidins and polysaccharides.
Did you the review of literature for your analytical problems? I think you don't need QTOF, only HR TOF or TOF, may be with MS/MS function (LIFT etc.). Methods of ionization: MALDI (in most cases), ESI.
I'm in the process of collection lit and rewiewing when time permits. It seems, from what I gather is that MALDI doesn't provide much of an advantage over ESI. I've used exclusively an ion trap and single quad instruments with ESI. With my trap, sensitivity has been my biggest issue especially beyond proanthocyanidin octamers.
