Heliflex chirasil-Val; GC of amino acid enantiomers

Dear all, has anyone in the forum ever used this GC column: Heliflex chirasil-Val?
I need to separate optical isomers among some amino acids, more specifically D analanine from L alanine and D norleucine from L norleucine. I have tried cydex B in vain, and have an old chyrasil val here that for some reason did not work. Does anybody have any advice?

Since Supelco has a whole line of chiral GC columns, and they used to have an chiral GC expert there in their technical service department, I would send a free email and ask for help.

They are a part of the Sigma-Aldrich Corporation.

Chirasil Val was developed by Professor Schurig. The (patented) phase was commercialized via Chrompack, which I personnally worked on. It does a great job for separation of amino acids. The phase was also commercialized via Alltech. I do not know the situation right now as all these companies are eaten by bigger ones and phases and supply sources may not follow these routes automatically.

Beta cylodextrin modified phases can also separate amino acid enantiomers, however, selectivity of chirasil (L) val, was always superior
