Semi preparative LC

We need to split a diesel type sample in an aromatic fraction and an aliphatic (saturates) fraction. We want to recuperate each fraction for further analysis.
Which LC column(s) would you recommend. (type + brand).

Thanks

Diesel is a very comlicated mixture I am not sure that you can separate aromatic compounds from aliphatic using HPLC. traditional reversed-phase is retainingcompounds based of hydrophobic properties and a lot of your molecules will have very similar hydrophobic properties no matter if it is aromatic or aliphatic. Even pi-pi column will not work. I think that you can try come kind of complex formation with additives in the mobile phase to distinguish aromatics (precious metals?)

Hello

I think centrifugal Partition chromatography (CPC) could work - with this you can easily try and modify several stationary phases.
