Connecting a chart recorder to a Agilent 1100 detector

Hi all, A friend at a local college has asked me for some help.
They have been given an HPLC system for use in the science lab, but obviously haven't got access to a data handling system.
They have however got several chart recorders which they could hook up just to get them going (just like the old days).
I've been asked to go in and help set this up, just wondering what cables they would need and how they wiring would go ?

Thanks.

The detector should have one or two BNC connectors on the back corresponding to 1V analog outputs. There is also a way to hook up a "start" contact closure that could serve as a chart marker, but that is probably through a DB-9 or DB-15 RS-232 connector.

You should be able to download a manual for your particular model from Agilent.com. The manual will tell you what each and every connector on the back is for and also suggest part numbers for any needed cables.
