Problems overlaying and offsetting chromatograms in Empower

				Hello:
I am trying to display offset, overlaid chromatograms that were collected with Waters Empower software. Using the "compare" or "review" options, I can overlay the chromatograms, but I cannot figure out how to offset them along the y-axis. I have seen where I could use a time (x-axis) offset, or a z-axis offset, but I cannot seem to find a way to use a y-axis offset. I can stack the plots, but that is not what I am looking to do. I want to overlay, then offset a series of chromatograms on the same set of x,y axes. Is this possible in Empower? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Pete

				Z-axis overlay with 90 angle.

Thank you! I was also able to also get this tip from another Empower user and it does indeed work. Not sure why an y-acis offset is not available, but this work-around is not bad to use.

For y-axis you can do it, with the compare function, it is not very easy and maybe a bit tricky but at the end you can get some visible results.

I have a related question: if I overlay 5 chromatograms and use the 90 degree z-axis setting, is there any rhyme or reason as to how the chromatograms overlay? Like how do i make sure injection#1 is on the bottom of the overlay, then injection#2 is next , and so forth? Is it just as simple as selecting the injection#1 channel (while holding down Control), then the injection#2 channel, and so forth?
Thanks!!

Spacing sets the distance between plots, all other things being equal. They generally are ordered in the reverse order as compared to the table from which they were selected (top file in block selected top to bottom is likely to be the bottom one in the overlay). I think you can reorder them by selecting them in the bottom table, the one you want on top 1st, then work your way down.
I may be backwards, but grab 3 and play - you'll find out how it works.

Hi, I'm in the compare feature and I"m trying to overlay 3 injections whose retention times don't line up exactly. Is there anyway to move the peaks so that they are all on top of each other? The alignment markers were only working for me in the stacked window.
Any help is appreciated!
