PFPA and BSTFA

Is there any concern running PFPA and BSTFA derivatives on the same GC/MS (same column)? A while ago I read somewhere that there can be some cross reactivity between those two derivatizing agentns leading to rapid column degradation.

The by-product of PFPA is an acid, and that is the main culprit for column degradation.

BSTFA is a much better choice for fused silica columns, as it can potentially aid in repairing it.
