Not very electronics minded but I have been thinking of buying this polymer labs PL-ELS 2100, ELSD detector to join to the existing Agilent 1200 system which currently has a DAD dector attached. Hoping to use CHemstation B.04.

I have been told that I will need to purchase an AD Converter from Agilent by one person...is this true?

SO
Yes, and an A/D license for the ChemStation B04.03 or OpenLAB CDS ChemStation, whatever you want. The ELSD is not controlled under ChemStation and therefore the signal has to be collected analog.

Yeah, something like a #35900E box
Thanks Guys,

Would there be an issue with Chemstation and how it handled the converted data. ie could it integrate data for example??

JC
The A/D converter type 35900E becomes an integral part of the method, as a normal channel and therefore will be treated exactly the same as all other channels. So yes you would be able to integrate this channel and assign peak names and calibration to it.

Hi,

It seems to me that The 35900E box is HPIB only, though, right? If so, I don't think you can run it from B version Chemstation (no HPIB).

I might be wrong here, I just wanted to raise this issue if it might be a problem.

Cheers,
Dwight

The actual A/D converter
p/n 35900E option 010
General purpose interface cables
p/n 35900E option 010

Prices to be obtained from your local Agilent representative.

Good luck

Thanks for all your help. Will the agilent converter work with the Jet direct card...or does it need the newer ones.
