Green stuff leaking out of my ECD

I'm working in this lab where some kind of corrosion bomb must have gone off at some point. Everything metal in the lab is rusted. I was going to change the column on a GC in the lab and noticed lots of green corrosion coming from the bottom of the ECD detector. Could this be radioactive nickel coming out of the detector? How hazardous is Ni-63 in this amount? Our guys are going to come check it out, but it feaked me out a bit.

Our guys said it wasn't radioactive, so not too worried about it since I'm using the FID. The next guy to use ECD may not be so happy though...

If the steel and nickel parts of the instruments have been corroded by something in the atmosphere (my guess would be HCl) then all the electronics are living on borrowed time.

Green liquid - check your water pump or radiator/heater hoses, sounds like it's leaking coolant.

I would suspect corroded copper fittings - that will get you some green.

Did someone sneeze on it....
I read somewhere that you could eat the entire radiactive source from an ECD without receiving a dangerous does of radiation, however nickel poisoning would see you off.
