Who makes the best ECD?

Hi Yunker,

A brief but open ended question, what do you want to achieve with regards to your applications? Do you want to interface this device to an existing LC and Software or are you looking at a fresh start. What is the matrix environmental samples or clinical Biological fluids?.

I currently am using a Dionex IC (using as an HPLC) interfaced with a Dionex ECD, running the instrumentation using Chromeleon. I am analyzing biological samples (whole kidney extracts). The units we have a pretty old. I am looking to potentially upgrade. It would be great to have a unit that could interface with a Waters UPLC or an agilent LC and could be run with Empower.

I was just hoping to get people's opinions what units are available.

Hi Yunker,

I think you need to provide further information if you want specific user responses, for example electrochemistry encompasses an array of applications and techniques, ranging from carbohydrates to amino acids, plasma Mets and catecholamine’s. The modes of detection can vary from Amperometric to Coulometric and each has their own merits depending on the sample matrix. The devil is in the detail if you can be more specific I think you will find assistance will be more forthcoming
