Hey guys,

In reading this post, I feel like this question belongs on a auto tuner forum...

Anyhow, I have a Agilent 5973MS (g2577A) which comes with a diff pump. We would like to upgrade it to use a turbo, preferably the "performance turbo". I think the model is the g2579A. In calling agilent tech support, I am told that an upgrade kit may have been available in the past however it is definitely not available now. Google has not been much help thus far either. It seems like this could be a relatively easy upgrade... but based on past experiences I am skeptical. Not sure what electronics will need to be replaced. Does anyone know if this is even a remote possibility?

thanks

It is still possible, but as you said, getting parts directly from Agilent may be an issue. You will need the turbo pump obviously, the controller / power supply for the pump, and firmware updates on the main controller boards. Try contacting Alpah Omega Technologies. I know at one time they had the conversion parts available to them. If they can't help you, Quantum Analytics would be my next guess as to a source.
the input is really appreciated. I didn't even think about AOT, going to write a email this afternoon. I will report back an success on this front.

thanks!
