Hi. I have one interesting trouble. I need to make a presentation about GC detectors, how they work and so forth. And I can't find any good scheme of detectors, like TCD, FID etc.
Could you help me to find these schemes, as many as possible?

For these detector is enough. But I'm interested in other detectors, for example Thermal conductivity detector, density detector, helium ionization detector. I mean schemes of detectors witch are used in GC, not specific :)
But thank you.

OK, I'll make it really easy for you.

Step 1. Go to Google.

Step 2. Type in the name of the detector that you want information on.

Step 3. Follow the links.

Oh thanks Peter, but, you know, this is really difficult to find good and clear scheme for TCD. I need to make presentation for people which never work with GC. So I have to make it clear.
But thank you also :)

Step 4. Press "Images" :D

To my mind Google would give numerous clear schemes of TCD, for instance

Oh thanks Peter, but, you know, this is really difficult to find good and clear scheme for TCD I suppose that I should have made Step 3 Scroll down a bit. There are dozens and dozens of diagrams and pictures freely available. I need to make presentation for people which never work with GC. So I have to make it clear Is it too much trouble to draw your own scheme ?, and explain it to the audience .
But thank you also :)

Oh yeah. Look, I've find some pictures and I like it :) From wiki and another resourses
Here is some of them:
1. TCD
http://www.chromatogramma.ru/files/uplo ... cc529_.JPG
2. FID form wiki
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... ematic.gif
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... tector.svg

But I couldn't find any good scheme for density detector, for Discharge ionization detector, for Pulsed discharge ionization detector etc.

I've just asked for help, maybe links or books, there I can find schemes and information.
Is it so difficult to help?

No it is not difficult to help - no more difficult than for you to get onto the internet and do the searches yourself, and if you do it yourself you develop a skill which will be useful later, while if other people just post the links for you, you lose out on the skills development.

And when you ask for help beware of target creep, you started off wanting FID and TCD, now you want gas density detectors (which are obsolete) and PHID - which I have googled and found some links, just to test whether this really is as difficult as you are making it out to be.

Peter.
You know, your words have a sense. Because while I was talking to you, I find some good scheme of detectors.
By the way, I've find another schemes of detectors and I didn't like them in case it is really difficult to imagine how it works.
