Microwave system for non-biological sample digestion

Somebody tells me that microwave digestion using nitric acid will give out fumes that will attack and damage GCMS, LCMS or other instruments in the same room.
My lab intends to buy one microwave system and place it outside but adjacent to a fumehood. The salesperson tells me that if I choose some special vessels there is absolutely no leakage of acidic fumes.
Anyone can advise whether there is absolutely no risk to operator health and to other instruments in the same room?
Thank you.
