We are moving labs soon and just wondering what needs to be done regarding the detectors. We'll be transporting on trollies and some of the ground is bumpy.
Will I need to do OQ/PQ etc once everything is set up in new lab?
thanks

I would at minimum do an IQ/OQ, since you are installing the instruments in a new location. We recently moved, and we performed PM/IQ/OQ for all of our HPLCs. It really upset our instrument maintenance guy. He had over time spaced it out so that the 14 HPLCs were roughly one a month due for PM/PQ (couple of months had two), but now they are all back on the same month as scheduled.

we do IQ/OQ and also record the system suitability of the first work on each instrument
for detectors check for the optical lock system
it is on most HPLC detectors
how many instruments are you moving?
will it be a 100% lab shutdown?
if yes then don't do it this way.
remember it never works as plan and IQ OQ again will take you depending on the HPLC between 1-3 days
and one technician might be able to do 2 instrument at once, which is generally not the case.
and then you need to double check everything.
take the time you are think it will take, times 2 and add 30%. this is roughly the time it takes for all of them.
are you in a temperate area? why Murphy will make it rain,
warm spot, welcome the dust storm from Murphy.
