Chrome Perfect Aquisition Problem

Does anyone have experience using Chrome Perfect? I've only ever had to run samples for QC purposes. In the five years working here, I picked up on some of the behind-the-scenes basics and because of that, I've been named the resident GC guru and tasked with reconfiguring our HP6890 for a new process. The SOP I received and fumbled through is based on ChemStation which hasn't helped.

As for my problem, I haven't been able to get ChromePerfect and the HP6890 to fully communicate. With our old headspace set up, ChromePerfect would automatically detect the data signal from the GC and start the data aquisition and run through each sample in the sequence. Since switching to the 7683 Injector, and basically starting from scratch, data aquisition will not automatically start once the sample is injected. I can manually click "Start Run" and see that the computer is getting the response signal, but that slightly skews the timeline and requires constant attention.

I hope I am overlooking something obvious, but without any formal GC training or education, most of my trouble shooting has been trial and error after combing through ChromePerfect's integrated help .PDF.

I'll gladly provide any other info I've omitted.
I just wanted to reply to this topic in case it helps anyone else. It ended up being a configuration setting on the HP6890 to enable a remote start.

Config > Valve # > 7 > Mode/Type > Remote Start
