Hi there,

I need to analyze leaf extracts via LC/MS (HILIC). The separation is working so far, but now I need an internal standard to make a relative quantification of my samples. I´m totally new to the chromatographic seperation techniques and hope somebody can help me...

THX!!!
The best internal standard is an isotopically labeled version of the molecule you want to quantify. they will have similar extract recovery and ionization response, if the isotopically internal standard is not available, you should choose a compound as the internal standard, the compound should be:
1. there isn't the compound in your leaf.
2. the compound has similar structure and chemical and physical property with the compound you want to analyze

hope this help
you think you can,you can
