Hi!!

I'm devoloping an HPLC-UV method for the quantification of some tricyclic antidepressants.
I'm looking for a nice substance to be used as internal standard. I've read some papers that use Nordoxepin, but I'd like to find out some alternative.

Some suggestion???

Thank you!!!

There are several papers about quantification of tricyclic antidepressants in literaure..

What do you mean with nice substance? There are studies using bromazepam, ethyl-methyl amitriptyline etc.

I would like to use a cheap substance, with a good recovery, and that it's not simultaneously taken by the patient......

In the past, alkylphenones have been suggested as general-purpose internals standards (pick an appropriate chain length to get retention in the correct region of your chromatogram).
