1,2,3-Trichloropropane Analysis by 524.2

Discussions about GC-MS, LC-MS, LC-FTIR, and other "coupled" analytical techniques.

I am passing all the analytes of PE samples by epa method 524.2 except for 1,2,3-Trichloropropane which is reading 30% lower than the true value (I tried another trial study and it was reading low as well!). The calibration looks great, CCV is almost perfect, and the second source standard looks great. I appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks
What level is your PE concentration relative to the CCV and 2nd source?

The CCV is 25 ug/l and the PE is 18ug/l. Thank you Nathan.
Does trichloropropane coelute with any other compound(s) in the standard?
Is this a new issue for you? Has 123TCP ever worked? If yes, what has changed? How old is your trap?
I do 524.2 and do not have issues with 123TCP. My %RSD from my latest calibration is 7.8.
TCP is not coeluting with any other compound. The RSD is 6.1% and trap is about two months old. We would like to be able to report this compound on our reports but we either fail or barley pass the PEs for this compound. Thank you all.
Are you getting PTs from one provider only, or multiple? Have you tried purchasing a third standard to confirm that you haven't somehow purchased two standards that agree but are actually low (shot in the dark on that one)?
Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.
I just saw something in my set up. Make sure you are integrating correctly. In my system 123 TCP comes out just after bromo benzene which has 75.
