Does anyone have the error message lists for GC Varian 3400. I´m trying to fix one, but my client don´t have the manual anymore and doing the autotest I got a list of them: 215, 256, 259, 260, 261, 262, 263, 318, 322 and 329, but even with this long list of errors, the system is runing...

Any help?

Thanxs,

Redi
- Error 215: The main plug is reversed (turn it around in the socket).
- Error 256: FID A balance misadjusted. Check connections to FID first.
- Error 259: FID A range inaccurate (here: 10).
- Error 260: FID A range inaccurate (here: 9).
- Error 261: FID A range inaccurate (here: 8 ).
- Error 262/263: FID A autozero fault.
- Error 318: FID B balance misadjusted.
- Error 322: FID B ranges misadjusted.
- Error 329: FID B autozero fault.

The system may be running, but not correctly.

To remedy these errors, check the easy problems at first: Your columns might stick out of the FID jet. Also, the connection cables between FID and electrometer might be loose. Reattach and check again.

Heat the FIDs and let them burn for several hours and check again next.

If this fails, come back here :)

[EDIT] Of course the FID has to hooked up to a column with carrier gas flowing.
HbJ,
Thank you so much!!
